Hotel Blackjack Love Hotel Review Argentina

The casual hook up has long been associated with American pop culture. In the back seat of a car, under the school bleachers, or sneaking in and out of bedroom windows. People seem to find the most creative ways to satisfy the most basic of human urges. South Americans however have created an entire industry dedicated to the “hook up”. In Argentina they are known as “Telos” or sex hotels. And Hotel BlackJack is one of the finest in Buenos Aires.

 

Expectations

Telos are hidden in plain sight. Unless you know of their existence you likely won’t see them. Once you do, they are everywhere. You start to notice “albergue transitorio” all over the place. Faint neon lights and obscure signs silently beckon. Usually hidden from the prying eyes of passerby’s by large walls or doors. Which makes choosing one all the more difficult. I chose Hotel Blackjack for my first experience at the recommendation of a friend. I honestly expected something over the top and slightly scandalous. My companion and I were pleasantly surprised.

Location

Hotel Blackjack is located off Calle O’Higgins in the Nunez neighborhood. An upper middle class area of Buenos Aires. The neighborhood is particularly nice with newer residences and condos all around the area. Blackjack is on a very quiet side street. We arrived around 10 pm to find no one on the streets and upon leaving the next morning the area was the same. Only a few older couples walking their pets. Contrary to many “love hotels” in the U.S. the area was very safe, clean, and well lit.

Getting a Room

Upon arrival you have two options. Drive into the very private and secluded garage. Or walk into the front. We arrived by cab so we entered the front.  Look for the name “albergue transitorio”. The lobby area was particularly nice and modern. Low light and quiet. Almost seemed like closing time. The price list was displayed on a digital screen next to the silhouette windowed reception desk. You choose if you want a “turn” (3 hours) or overnight. Like most hotels all you need is an ID. Instead of paying upfront, you pay when you leave as the list of in room “extras” is quite extensive. You’re given a little key card and off you go. We were on the first level but the property has two. As you walk down the hall your number blinks to indicate where to go as it’s pretty dark. You really feel at ease and alone here. The entire stay we saw no one but the desk clerk and barely even then.

 

Rooms

Entering your room is sensory overload. The room welcomes you with automated light show, blinds raising to reveal a lovely private zen garden and waterfall, and automated voice welcoming you. This voice would play anytime your room service arrives to let you know.

We choose the higher end Zen Suite. The second largest room available. I wanted to get the full experience. The room is very modern and well designed. Honestly, it was nicer than some western four star hotels I’ve stayed at. Very clean and organized. The bed was a California King size with fresh sheets and pillows. Above the bed was a slotted mirror that I thought would be tacky but was actually pretty cool.

Near the bed is the Jacuzzi. Hotel Blackjack provides you with two packets of bubble bath but will give you extra for free if you ask. The Jacuzzi is a two seater with individual jets. Very hot. My only gripe is I wish the water level would go higher. The bathroom and shower were very clean and sanitized. The toiletries and towels were all new and covered in seal packages. This was something that myself and my companion wondered about. Hotel Blackjack goes above and beyond to ensure guest feel comfortable.

The special feature of this room is the little waterfall and Zen garden. One entire wall of the suite is glass with a door leading outside. There you’ll find a private garden area with a little waterfall setup. Surprisingly soothing when trying to sleep. The window can be blocked with an automated shade controlled by the universal kiosk next to the bed. If you want, you can literally stay in bed the entire time.

 

Extras

Something that really surprised me was the number of additional items you could get. From food to sex toys. Anything you want was a phone call away and at VERY reasonable prices. Even cheaper than one would see at most traditional hotels. There are three menus in the room. Food, sexy costumes, and sex toys. Each can be order over the phone and arrive in a spinning hole through the door. You don’t see them and they don’t see you.

The bar is stocked with top shelf liquor down to cheap bottles of Champagne (expensive ones also). The selection was impressive as was the food. We ordered some finger food and were surprised with the quality and speed of which it arrived. Breakfast in the morning was free and only required us to call for it. Cafe, Juice, pastries, and fruit. The drinks of course are already in the mini bar.

We didn’t partake in any of the sex toys and costumes but inquired later. They are all new and seal. Yours to take when you leave. Other extras include free wi-fi, condoms, and satellite TV.

Wrap up

I highly recommend Hotel Blackjack not only for the quick hook up but for the married couple looking to add some spice. It’s a great value if you use the blue market rate (see prices below). If you only have a few hours that’s a cheaper and more popular option.
Telos are a safe and discreet place where couples can enjoy each other anyway they choose to for a very reasonable price.

Accommodations’ here are up to four star standard and better in some areas. Give Hotel Blackjack a try. You won’t be disappointed. I especially recommend Americans visit. This is a real eye opener compared to the archaic way we copulate in the U.S.
