While the original version of this app was great, the updated version is faster, has more utilities, and an updated UI. Here are the features that make it a must-have for Allianz customers.

While it’s becoming far rarer, a few car rental companies still request proof of insurance. And having it on your phone will save you a huge headache. But the biggest benefit to having instant access to your policy is travel planning. Depending on your policy, some activities might not be covered. For example, training martial arts might not be covered but rock climbing could be.
Faster Claims Processing
Submitting your claim can be the most painful experience next to getting hurt. Allianz has taken much of the trouble out of the claims process by putting it in the palm of your hand. Streamlining the claims process to make your life that much easier. Not only can you upload documents like receipts or police reports, but you can also track the status of your claim. It’s a burden off your shoulders knowing exactly when your reimbursements and credits will be taken care of.
Real Time Flight and Gate Information
I can’t begin to tell you how many times my flight gates have been changed last minute. Having this feature will put your mind at ease. And this is the perfect time to mention something I really like about this app. You don’t need to be a policyholder to enjoy most of its features. Including this one. While I highly advocate you get an Allianz policy, it’s refreshing to see a company putting travelers first.
Local Emergency Numbers AT Your Fingertips
This is an underrated travel tip that few travelers follow. Knowing the local emergency and police numbers. While in the US 911 is universal, some countries have different numbers for different services. And when it comes to injuries, seconds matter. The app gives you the option to automatically call the local emergency number with one press.
Pre Approved and Vetted Medical Facilities
Not all medical emergencies are life-threatening. And many will require you to seek out your own medical care. With the TravelSmart App, you’ll have access to thousands of pre-screened and approved medical facilities and providers. While some countries might have plenty of excellent medical options like Thailand or Germany, others might not have the same luxury. Best to be prepared and informed.
